Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla reviews naval units and indigenisation efforts in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD, June 28, 2026 :- Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command, visited the Directorate of Marine Engineering Design and the Controller of Naval Armament Inspection (Directorate of Production) in Hyderabad.

During his visit, he commended the innovative steps taken by these units toward the indigenisation of equipment and armament. He highlighted their efforts in capability building through collaborations with industry partners, which strengthens the Indian Navy’s ongoing commitment to self-reliance and technological innovation.

In addition to evaluating the indigenisation projects, Sanjay Bhalla reviewed the overall activities and progress of various naval units stationed in the Hyderabad and Secunderabad regions.

The visit also included a dedicated interaction with naval veterans, where the Commander-in-Chief reaffirmed the Navy’s continuous and unwavering commitment to the welfare and support of its retired personnel.
