Justice Moksha Khujuria Kazmi Inspects Infrastructure and Launches New Facilities at Baramulla and Sopore Court Complexes

BARAMULLA, JUNE 27: Justice Moksha Khujuria Kazmi, Judge of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and Administrative Judge for District Baramulla, visited the District Court Complex Baramulla and Court Complex Sopore on Saturday to evaluate the functioning of the district judiciary, inspect local infrastructure, and interact with judicial officers and bar members.

During the visit to the District Court Complex Baramulla, Kazmi inaugurated a newly established Ladies Advocates’ Bar Room, designed to provide a dedicated workspace for women lawyers and improve the professional environment.

The event was attended by Principal District & Sessions Judge Jawad Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner S.F. Hamid, Senior Superintendent of Police Gurinderpal Singh, along with various judicial officers, civil administration officials, and police personnel. Kazmi praised the essential role of lawyers in the justice delivery system and emphasized the need for steady cooperation between the bench and the bar for effective legal administration.

Kazmi also inspected multiple courts at the district headquarters to review ongoing legal work. While speaking with judicial officers, Kazmi encouraged them to perform their duties with sincerity and dedication, emphasizing the importance of timely case disposal to keep justice accessible and efficient for citizens.

A meeting was also held with the district administration to discuss infrastructural needs, during which the Deputy Commissioner promised that infrastructure challenges would be resolved on a priority basis in a phased manner.

Following the events in Baramulla, Kazmi traveled to the Court Complex Sopore alongside Jawad Ahmad to inaugurate an e-Seva Kendra, which aims to provide digital court services to litigants and advocates.

Kazmi concluded the tour by inspecting the Sopore courts and interacting with local judicial officers and Bar Association members, commending their shared efforts to maintain public confidence in a transparent and efficient legal system.
