Anantnag Police rescue kidnapped minor girl and arrest accused within hours
ANANTNAG, June 27, 2026 :- Anantnag Police successfully rescued a kidnapped minor girl and apprehended the prime accused within hours of receiving an official complaint at the Aishmuqam Police Station.
The operation began late on the evening of June 26, 2026, when the father of the minor girl lodged a written complaint alleging that his daughter had been abducted by an individual identified as Golu Sam, a resident of Gangyal, Jammu.
Following the complaint, authorities immediately registered a formal case under FIR Number 59/2026 under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, initiating an immediate and fast-tracked investigation.Utilizing critical operational leads, a specialized police team was formed and dispatched to Jammu to track down the suspect.
Through coordinated field intelligence and swift action, the tracking team successfully located the missing minor, secured her safe rescue, and took the accused into custody.
The law enforcement team is currently traveling back to the Aishmuqam Police Station with the rescued girl and the suspect, where further legal procedures and investigations will continue to determine if any other individuals were involved in the crime.
