Delhi Airport hosts multi-agency counter-terrorist mock drill
DELHI, June 27, 2026 :- A comprehensive multi-agency counter-terrorist contingency mock exercise was conducted at the BSF Hangar within the Delhi Airport premises to test and evaluate aviation security measures.
The joint operation aimed to validate established security protocols, strengthen operational synergy among different security wings, and reinforce real-time crisis response mechanisms.
The drill focused on enhancing collective preparedness across multiple departments to effectively counter emerging threats to critical aviation infrastructure.
The large-scale security exercise saw active participation from 183 personnel representing key security and emergency services, including the Central Industrial Security Force, Delhi Police, National Security Guard, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
Teams from the Delhi Fire Services and various medical representatives also joined the drill. The entire operation was executed under the supervision of Deputy Commandant P. S. Rathore and Deputy Commandant Dharmveer Sai, showcasing a high level of coordination and precision among all stakeholders involved.
