Jammu and Kathua scheduled power shutdowns announced for upcoming days
JAMMU, June 16 — Chief Engineer (Distribution) of the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited has announced a scheduled power shutdown for several areas across the Jammu region. On June 17, power supply will be suspended to Army Installations, Dairy Farm, Sansoo, Mansar, Garhi, Battal Ballian, PTC, ITBP, Pathi, Pancheri, Moungri, and adjoining localities from 8 am to 3 pm. Additionally, residents in Toph Sherkhania, Poonch House, Kabir Colony, Patel Nagar, PHE, and nearby sectors will face power outages on the same day from 7 am to 11 am.
A longer maintenance shutdown is scheduled for June 18 between 9 am and 5 pm, affecting Pochhal, Cherhar, Huller/Pohi, Workshop/DC Office, DIC, and its surrounding neighborhoods.Similarly, Superintending Engineer (Distribution) of the JPDCL O&M Circle Kathua has notified residents of planned electrical maintenance affecting industrial and residential hubs.
On June 17, electricity will be cut off to the Vijaypur Industry, Meen, Smailpur-2, Khidiya Dera, and adjoining areas from 6 am to 12 noon. Further shutdowns in the circle are planned for Balote and Navodya on June 17 and 19 from 7 am to 12 noon, and for BB Town from 6 am to 11 am on June 18 and 19. Old Vijaypur and the Vijaypur Industry will also experience a power disruption on June 20 from 7 am to 12 noon to facilitate essential repair work.
