CISF personnel restore historic Queen Bath heritage site near Bangalore
BANGALORE, JUNE 7 — On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, Central Industrial Security Force personnel deployed at the ISRO Campus in Bangalore revived the historic Queen’s Bath, a centuries-old rock-cut stepwell near Nandi Hills believed to date back to the era of Tipu Sultan.
Once hidden under dense vegetation and decades of neglect, the heritage structure was meticulously cleared and restored by the security forces, breathing new life into a forgotten symbol of the rich cultural legacy of the region.
The restoration initiative highlights how the Central Industrial Security Force remains committed to safeguarding not only the critical infrastructure of the nation but also its environmental and cultural heritage.
By restoring the ancient site, the personnel demonstrated that service to the nation extends beyond traditional security duties to encompass active community preservation and environmental stewardship.
