Jammu and Kashmir DGP launches plantation drive on World Environment Day

Anantnag, June 5, 2026 :-Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat launched a tree plantation campaign in Anantnag today to mark World Environment Day.

The initiative is part of a broader effort by law enforcement to support environmental conservation and expand green cover across the region.

The police chief initiated the drive by planting a cedar tree, also known as Cedrus deodara, on the official premises.

The campaign aims to foster ecological responsibility and promote widespread environmental awareness among police department employees and the general public.
