Counter Intelligence Kashmir conducts multi district raids in Jammu and Kashmir terror conspiracy case

SRINAGAR, June 3, 2026 — The Counter Intelligence Kashmir conducted searches at eight locations across six districts in the valley in connection with a decade-old terror conspiracy case related to Pakistan-sponsored terrorist outfits, sleeper cell networks, and radicalization activities.

The raids were carried out under a 2015 case registered under section 14 of the Foreigners Act, sections 15, 16, 17, and 19 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, and section 7/25 of the Arms Act. Based on recent intelligence inputs, technical analysis, and sustained investigation, officials identified and targeted search locations including two in Srinagar, two in Bandipora, and one each in Kupwara, Anantnag, Kulgam, and Sopore/Baramulla.

The suspects involved are alleged to be maintaining regular contact with Pakistan-based terrorist handlers through encrypted communication platforms and are suspected of disseminating extremist propaganda, conducting radicalization activities, and facilitating terrorism.

According to an agency official, the operations aimed to recover incriminating material, establish terrorist linkages, and identify associates, facilitators, and overground workers to generate actionable intelligence for further investigation.

The searches were executed with adequate security arrangements and technical support teams in accordance with established legal procedures after obtaining necessary search warrants from the competent court.
