Srinagar Police Attaches 1.2 Crore Property of Drug Peddler Under Nasha Mukt Abhiyan

SRINAGAR, MAY 12, 2026 — In a major step toward eradicating drug trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, the Srinagar Police has attached a double-storey residential house and land valued at approximately 1.2 crores in Gasoo, Hazratbal.

The property belongs to Maqsood Hussain Khan, who is allegedly involved in illicit narcotics activities linked to multiple criminal cases, including FIRs at Nigeen and Ganderbal police stations.

Executed by Police Station Nigeen under the provisions of the NDPS Act, 1985, the attachment follows investigations that identified the assets as being illegally acquired through drug trade profits.

The legal order strictly prohibits the owner from selling, leasing, or transferring the property to any third party.

This action reinforces the police department’s commitment to dismantling the financial network of drug peddlers and serves as a stern warning that stringent measures will continue until the region is drug-free.
