Air Marshal B Manikantan Reviews Operational Readiness at Air Force Station Agra
AGRA, May 4 — Air Marshal B Manikantan, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Central Air Command, concluded a two-day visit to Air Force Station Agra to review operational preparedness and infrastructure projects.
During his visit, which took place from May 2 to May 3, 2026, the Air Marshal focused on the strategic capabilities of the base and its ongoing development initiatives. A primary highlight of the visit was the inauguration of the newly commissioned Water Supply Enhancement Project, designed to ensure a consistent and uninterrupted water supply for the station’s various requirements.
The completion of the water project was a collaborative effort involving Headquarters Central Air Command, the Municipal Commissioner of Agra, the General Manager of Jal Sansthan Agra, and the Military Engineering Services. This infrastructure upgrade is expected to provide long-term stability for the base’s logistical needs.
Following the inauguration, the Air Marshal inspected several key areas of the station to evaluate the readiness of personnel and equipment in maintaining critical transport and logistics functions.
During his interaction with the station personnel, the Air Marshal praised their dedication and maintained focus on high operational standards.
He specifically noted the vital contribution of the base in managing air transport operations and providing essential support during Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief missions across the region.
