Jammu Municipal Corporation Launches Swachh Survekshan 2025-26 With Fleet Expansion and Citizen Feedback Apps

JAMMU, APRIL 29, 2026:-Jammu Municipal Corporation officially commenced its Swachh Survekshan 2025-26 campaign today with a high-profile event at Town Hall, attended by Member Legislative Assembly Jammu East Yudhvir Sethi, MLA Bahu Vikram Randhawa, and Commissioner Devansh Yadav.

The initiative featured the flagging off of 16 new garbage collection vehicles, including 10 specialized e-waste units funded through an HDFC Bank CSR initiative and six vehicles procured directly by the corporation.

To enhance local engagement, the event also saw the release of a Swachhata Awareness jingle in the Dogri language, composed by Padmashri Awardee Balwant Thakur, designed to resonate with the cultural identity of the region and promote cleanliness in every household.

Central to this year’s strategy is the revamped Garbage Hotspot Challenge and the introduction of a robust Citizen Feedback System. Quick reaction teams have been established to resolve waste-related complaints within 24 hours of being reported on the MyJammu Portal.

The new feedback platform allows residents to act as active auditors, providing direct input on daily waste collection, the maintenance of public toilets, and the overall efficiency of neighborhood sanitation services.

During the launch, participants also took a solemn Nasha Mukt Bharat pledge, integrating social welfare goals with civic responsibilities to foster a healthier community environment.

Commissioner Devansh Yadav emphasized that these technological and community-driven initiatives are vital for improving the city’s national cleanliness ranking, which stood at 42 in the previous survey.

He highlighted that the combination of corporate partnerships, real-time grievance redressal, and cultural outreach forms the roadmap for transforming Jammu into a model of sustainability.

Both Yudhvir Sethi and Vikram Randhawa praised the corporation’s efforts and assured the continued support of public and community organizations to ensure Jammu achieves a leading position in the upcoming national rankings.
