Fire Incident Controlled Swiftly By Army at Haknar Village

Srinagar April 17,2026 :- In the early hours of 17 April 2026, at approximately 0330 hours, a fire incident was reported in Famdapatti Mohalla of Haknar village.
The blaze engulfed a residential house and an adjoining cow shed belonging to Shabir Ahmad Kasana, causing damage to property and livestock shelter.
On receiving the information, the team from Army Camp Gund responded promptly and rushed to the spot.
Displaying swift coordination and effective firefighting measures, the team managed to bring the fire under control in a timely manner, preventing it from spreading to nearby houses in the densely populated area.Their quick action averted a potential major disaster and ensured the safety of local residents.
No loss of life or injuries were reported in the incident.The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and further assessment of damage is underway.
