Dismantling Terror Networks: Poonch Police Seize ₹22 Lakh Property of Pak-Based Handler

Poonch, January 15, 2026: In a major crackdown on cross-border terrorism, the Poonch Police have attached immovable property belonging to a Pakistan-based terror handler, Abdul Aziz, located in the Mandi area.

The action was taken following a court order linked to FIR No. 07/2002, registered under the E&IMCO Act. The attached assets include over 10 Kanals of land in Tehsil Mandi, valued at approximately ₹22.05 lakh.

The move is part of an ongoing strategy by security forces to dismantle the financial and logistical support systems used by individuals operating from across the border to threaten national security.Abdul Aziz, a resident of Chamber Kanari who exfiltrated to Pakistan/PoJK years ago, has been actively coordinating anti-national activities and was previously declared a Proclaimed Offender by the court.

Despite multiple attempts to secure his arrest, he continued to evade the law, leading to the judicial order for property attachment. Executed in coordination with the Revenue Department, this operation underscores the commitment of the District Police Poonch to neutralize the influence of terror handlers and ensure public safety by stripping accused militants of their local resources.
