Udhampur Senior Superintendent of Police orders immediate transfer and posting of police officers
UDHAMPUR, May 29, 2026 – In the interest of administrative efficiency, the Senior Superintendent of Police for Udhampur has issued an official order for the immediate transfer and reshuffling of several police officers across various police stations and posts within the district.
According to the official order issued by the District Police Headquarters, seven officers have been reassigned to their new jurisdictions with instructions to report to their new places of posting forthwith.
As detailed in the administrative order, Inspector Purshotam Kumar has been moved from Police Station Rehambal to serve as the Station House Officer at Police Station Ramnagar, while Inspector Nishant Gupta moves from District Police Lines Udhampur to become the Station House Officer at Police Station Chenani.
Inspector Parvez Sajad has been transferred from District Police Lines Udhampur to serve as the Station House Officer at Police Station Udhampur, taking charge as and when Abhijeet Sirohi, an Indian Police Service officer currently serving as the Udhampur Station House Officer, is relieved.
Additionally, Inspector Sumit Magotra has been transferred from District Police Lines Udhampur to take over as the Station House Officer at Police Station Rehambal.The reshuffle also includes the relocation of several Sub-Inspectors across the district. Probationary Sub-Inspector Manveer Singh has been transferred from Police Station Ramnagar to Police Station Udhampur, while Probationary Sub-Inspector Varun Sharma moves from Police Station Udhampur to become the In-Charge of Police Post Battal Ballian.
Concurrently, Probationary Sub-Inspector Ravinder Kumar has been reassigned from Police Post Battal Ballian back to Police Station Udhampur.
Copies of the directive have been forwarded to the Inspector General of Police for the Jammu Zone, the Deputy Inspector General of Police for the Udhampur-Reasi Range, and other supervisory police officials to ensure seamless implementation and necessary field action.
