Shri Amarnath Yatra Accident: Four Pilgrims Injured in Baltal Bound Vehicle Mishap

BANIHAL, July 10, 2026 :- Four registered Amarnath pilgrims sustained minor injuries after the taxi carrying them to the Baltal base camp met with an accident in Banihal.

The injured individuals have been identified as Varesh Yadav, 44, and Usha Devi, 55, both residents of Faridabad in Haryana, alongside Natasha Sharma, 28, and Neharka, 20, both residents of Uttarakhand.

Official sources stated that the injured passengers were quickly shifted by local police and emergency response teams to the Sub-District Hospital in Banihal, where they were administered first aid.

Hospital authorities confirmed that all four pilgrims are currently in stable condition and remain under observation.

Police have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
