Online booking opens for Raahi Hop Jammu bus service
JAMMU, July 9, 2026:- The District Administration Jammu, in partnership with Jammu Smart City Limited, has launched the online booking portal for the Raahi: Hop Jammu bus service. Tourists and residents can now book their tickets directly through the official ticketing website to experience the region’s top destinations.
The specialized hop-on hop-off service is structured across four distinct routes designed to showcase local religious, heritage, and cultural landmarks, with all journeys starting from the central hub at the Tawi River Front.The four routes cater to different travel interests and operate at scheduled intervals. The Tirath Line costs 200 rupees per person daily and connects the Tawi River Front to major spiritual sites such as Bahu Fort, Bawe Wali Mata Temple, Bagh-e-Bahu, Moh Maya Temple, Tirupati Temple, Amar Mahal, Ranbireshwar Temple, and Raghunath Temple. The Fun Line, also priced at 200 rupees, links families and entertainment seekers to Bahu Fort, Bagh-e-Bahu, the aquarium, Bawe Wali Mata Temple, Amar Mahal, and Jambu Zoo.
For those looking to explore further out, the Chenab Line costs 250 rupees per person daily and runs along the Chenab belt, covering Akhnoor Fort, Jia Pota Ghat, Pandav Gufa, Gurudwara Tapo Asthan Sant Baba Sunder Singh Ji, Kameshwar Temple, and Ambaran. The Sarhad Line is also priced at 250 rupees and takes passengers on a heritage route encompassing the Suchetgarh Border, Octroi Post, Ranbir Singh Pura Heritage Railway Station, and the Gharana Wetland.Passengers are required to secure their tickets via the online portal before arriving at the Tawi River Front counter on their travel day to exchange their digital confirmation for a physical boarding pass.
Boarding is strictly restricted to the Tawi River Front location, and passengers must arrive at least 30 minutes before departure with a valid photo identification card. Travelers are also reminded to follow staff instructions and maintain cleanliness by using the provided waste bins.The bus fare covers transport only, meaning entry tickets for specific attractions like the Amar Mahal Museum and Jambu Zoo must be bought separately at the venues.
The Amar Mahal Museum operates from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on Mondays, while Jambu Zoo is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and remains closed on Tuesdays. Additionally, visitors planning to take the Sarhad Line should note that the Beating Retreat Ceremony at the Suchetgarh Border takes place exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays starting from 5:00 pm.
