BJP Expansion: Ashok Koul Outlines Grassroots Strategy to Strengthen Party in Karnah
KARNAH (KASHMIR) — July 09, 2026: In a strategic move to fortify its presence in the border region, Jammu & Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul chaired a high-level organizational review meeting at the Dak Bungalow in Tangdhar.
Addressing key office bearers and active party workers from the Karnah Constituency, Koul emphasized that a robust organization is the party’s greatest asset and called for an immediate booth-level expansion. He urged leaders to maintain constant communication with local committees, underscoring that booth-level workers serve as the backbone of the BJP’s success. To effectively broaden the party’s footprint across Kashmir, Koul directed the team to initiate regular public outreach campaigns, identify emerging local leaders, and ensure that the welfare initiatives of the Narendra Modi-led government reach every household in the region.
The meeting saw active participation from prominent regional leaders, including J&K BJP Secretary Mudasir Wani, Kupwara District President Syed Rafiq Shah, and Karnah Constituency President Imtiyaz Mir. Highlighting the party’s growing momentum, Wani noted that the BJP is consistently scaling its influence across Kashmir through disciplined organizational efforts and sustained public engagement. Echoing these sentiments, Shah reaffirmed the Kupwara district unit’s commitment to empowering grassroots workers, while Mir assured the leadership that the Karnah constituency team would aggressively ramp up local activities and strengthen booth committees to solidify the party’s bond with the local population.
