CM Omar Abdullah Meets Public Delegations in Srinagar to Address Grievances

SRINAGAR, JULY 09, 2026: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met with multiple public and industry-specific delegations today at Raabita to listen to pressing local grievances and development demands. During the interaction, a delegation from the Industrial Plaster of Paris (POP) Association of Khunmoh highlighted critical supply chain bottlenecks, specifically noting the severe challenges confronting the regional POP industry due to a widespread shortage of gypsum. Assuring the association of a thorough review, Chief Minister Abdullah stated that the government would coordinate with relevant departments to explore a sustainable, long-term solution for the sector.

Later in the day, the Chief Minister hosted a delegation from the Khidmat Centre Association, who submitted a formal proposal outlining their structural and operational demands. Abdullah gave the members a patient hearing and assured them that their representation would be closely examined on its merits. He emphasized that the administration would consult with all concerned departments to ensure a fair evaluation of their proposals, reaffirming his government’s commitment to responsive governance and the timely resolution of public welfare issues.
