Wreath laying ceremony held for fallen Assam Rifles soldiers at Imphal Airport
IMPHAL, July 9, 2026:- A solemn wreath laying ceremony with full military honours was held at Imphal Airport in Manipur to pay tribute to Warrant Officer Balwant Singh and Havildar Chandra Mohan Singh of the Assam Rifles, who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh led the dignitaries in paying rich tributes to the fallen soldiers.
The ceremony was attended by the GOC Spear Corps, Director General of Police Manipur, IGAR South, IGP CRPF, and the Security Advisor to the Government of Manipur, alongside senior officials from the Assam Rifles, Indian Army, CRPF, and Manipur Police.
