Indian Army Hosts Free Veterinary Camp in Kishtwar’s Chhatroo to Boost Rural Livestock Health

KISHTWAR, July 09, 2026: In a continuous effort to strengthen civil-military relations and support local livelihoods, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Chief Animal Husbandry Office, Kishtwar, successfully organized a comprehensive Veterinary Camp at Chhatroo today. Designed to deliver high-quality veterinary healthcare services and promote livestock well-being, the initiative focused on raising critical awareness among farmers regarding disease prevention, proper nutrition, and modern, scientific animal husbandry practices.

During the camp, a dedicated team of qualified veterinary professionals examined and treated 50 animals brought in by residents from Chhatroo and its neighboring villages. Beyond providing essential medical treatments and preventive healthcare, the event served as an interactive platform where livestock owners consulted directly with experts to gain valuable insights into maximizing animal health and productivity.
