Seerbagh–Sempora Bridge Enters Final Construction Stage For Early Public Opening

SRINAGAR, APRIL 14:-Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary announced today that the Seerbagh–Sempora bridge is nearing completion and will soon be accessible to the general public.

During a detailed inspection of the project site, the Deputy Chief Minister evaluated the quality and progress of the ongoing works alongside senior engineers and local representatives.

He noted that the structure has reached its final stages, expressing satisfaction with the current pace of construction. The administration has prioritized this project to ensure that residents in the surrounding areas benefit from modern infrastructure that meets high safety and quality standards.

The completion of this bridge is expected to be a major turning point for local logistics, significantly improving connectivity for those living in Sempora, Seerbagh, and Summerbugh. By linking these locations with the broader regions of Chadoora, Pampore, and Srinagar, the bridge will reduce travel times and provide a more direct route for daily commuters and commercial transport.

Officials emphasized that the project was designed to address long-standing accessibility issues, and its opening will serve a large section of the population that has been waiting for more efficient transit options between these key districts.

In addition to the bridge inspection, the Deputy Chief Minister visited the PWD Guest House at Hyderpora to review plans for a new Engineering Office and Conference Hall. He urged the engineering team to move forward with proper planning and rapid execution, ensuring the new facility meets modern benchmarks. Discussions also included necessary upgrades to existing infrastructure to improve its utility for government operations.

By focusing on both major transit links and administrative facilities, the government aims to create a more integrated and functional infrastructure network across Srinagar and its neighboring areas.
