Bhaderwah Celebrates Second Day Of Baisakhi Festival With Spirited Public Gatherings
BHADERWAH, APRIL 14:-The vibrant Baisakhi celebrations continued into their second day across the Bhaderwah sub-division, marked by deep religious devotion and festive energy.
Large crowds of devotees gathered at various local temples to offer prayers and participate in traditional rituals. Key mela sites, including the Tesna Ganesh Temple and Bount Nag Temple at Bounta Gutasa, saw a significant influx of visitors.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunil Kumar Bhutyal, along with senior officials from the Bhaderwah Development Authority and other departments, visited the festival locations to oversee the proceedings and engage with the local community.
To accommodate the large gatherings, the sub-division administration implemented a comprehensive management plan to ensure a smooth experience for all attendees. This included the deployment of adequate security personnel and the maintenance of essential services such as uninterrupted water and power supply.
Officials also prioritized traffic management and the cleanliness of public areas to keep the festival sites organized. Street lighting and medical facilities were kept operational throughout the day to address any immediate needs of the pilgrims and tourists participating in the festivities.
Safety was a primary focus for the authorities, especially given the mountainous terrain of the region. Ahead of the celebrations, the administration ensured the clearance of landslides and road slips to maintain safe access for travelers.
These coordinated efforts between various government wings resulted in a peaceful and successful second day of the festival. The Baisakhi melas continue to serve as a vital cultural highlight for Bhaderwah, bringing together people from different walks of life to celebrate the arrival of the new harvest season in a festive atmosphere.
