Samba job fair connects over 400 youth with 15 companies offering more than 300 vacancies
SAMBA, June 20, 2026 — The District Employment and Counselling Centre Samba organized a mega job fair today to provide direct employment opportunities to the job seekers of Samba district. A total of 15 leading companies, including Cadila Pharmaceutical Ltd, Zeiss Pharma Ltd, ITC Ltd, Jai Beverages Pvt Ltd, BD Security, RAXA Security, and Jammu Motors Pvt Ltd, participated in the event, collectively offering more than 300 vacancies across diverse sectors such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, security, and sales.
The event witnessed an enthusiastic response with more than 400 job seekers participating to interact directly with company recruiters and explore prospective roles.Attending the event, MLA Surjit Singh Salathia encouraged the present youth to actively participate and take full advantage of these career opportunities, noting that such platforms allow unemployed youth to directly showcase their skills to recruiters.
Additionally, Assistant Director Employment Samba Naresh Kumar advised the youth to register on the official Mission YUVA portal to avail themselves of various welfare schemes. He explained that registered candidates can apply online for jobs, access short-duration free skill development courses run by the Employment Department, and become eligible for heavily subsidized financial assistance schemes, including Nano and MSME projects in Sunrise and Focus sectors.
The job seekers expressed high satisfaction with the initiative, thanking the organizers for bridging the gap between local talent and employers.
