Reasi Police Arrest Three Suspects And Seize Heroin In Katra Drug Bust

REASI, APRIL 13:- As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, the Reasi Police successfully intercepted and arrested three individuals suspected of drug peddling in the Katra area. Under the direction of SSP Reasi Mukund Tibrewal, a police team conducting routine foot patrols at Varun Chowk grew suspicious of three men traveling on foot. Upon stopping the individuals for questioning, officers conducted a search and discovered approximately 5.29 grams of heroin, commonly known as Chitta, in their possession.

The suspects were identified as residents of Katra and Uttarakhand, and they are currently being held as the investigation continues.Following the recovery of the contraband, a formal case has been registered at the Katra Police Station under several sections of the NDPS Act.

The operation was a coordinated effort involving senior local officers who are focused on tracking the supply chains of narcotics entering the region. This latest arrest is part of a broader strategy to intensify surveillance in high-traffic areas and public squares, ensuring that the pilgrimage town remains safe from the influence of illegal substances.

The Reasi Police have reaffirmed their dedication to completely removing drug-related activities from the district through persistent enforcement and public outreach.
