PTTI Vijaypur Hosts Expert Guest Lecture on Cyber Crime and Security for Police Trainees

Vijaypur, May 9, 2026 :- The Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur organized a comprehensive special guest lecture today focusing on the critical themes of cyber crime and cyber security for its staff and trainees.

The event was attended by approximately 500 police trainees currently enrolled in the Basic Recruit Training Course (BRTC), alongside various officers and faculty members. Principal of PTTI Vijaypur, Ranjit Singh Sambyal, warmly welcomed the guest speaker, Mohd Yaseen Kichloo, who delivered an extensive presentation on the evolving landscape of digital threats.

During the session, Kichloo detailed various methods of online fraud conducted via mobile calls, SMS, WhatsApp, and social media, highlighting common criminal tactics such as fraudulent KYC updates, deceptive investment schemes, and instant loan scams.

The lecture served as an interactive platform to educate participants on essential digital safety protocols, specifically advising against sharing sensitive data like OTPs, bank details, ATM PINs, and CVV numbers.

Kichloo urged the trainees to remain vigilant and report any suspicious digital activities to the authorities immediately to mitigate the impact of cyber threats.

The program was attended by several senior officials, including Satish Kumar, Khushwant Singh, Anuradha Raina, and Asif Iqbal, who contributed to the successful conduct of the session.

This initiative is part of PTTI Vijaypur’s ongoing efforts to equip future police officers with the practical knowledge and insights necessary to combat modern cyber challenges in their professional careers.
