J&K Drug Crackdown: Rs 20 Lakh Narco-Property of Accused Karan Pathi Demolished in Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, June 17, 2026 — In a major enforcement drive to dismantle the financial infrastructure of drug syndicates, the District Police Udhampur, in coordination with the District Administration, has demolished an illegally constructed commercial property worth approximately Rs 20 Lakhs. The property, built on state land under Khasra No. 60 in Village Deol Gali, Kalsote, belonged to a notorious narco-criminal identified as Karan Pathi. The accused is currently facing trial under FIR No. 14/2021 under Sections 8 and 18 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, following a detailed investigation into his continuous involvement in regional drug trafficking networks.
The official probe revealed that Pathi had encroached upon government land to erect illegal commercial structures, including two shops at Deol Gali. Authorities confirmed that these properties were raised entirely through the proceeds of the illicit narco-trade. The demolition was carried out as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, a localized campaign designed to systematically break the logistical backbones of drug peddlers. Reaffirming their stance, the Udhampur Police stated their firm commitment to taking stringent measures against drug offenders to ensure a clean, addiction-free society.
