Planned power shutdown announced for various areas in Jammu and Kathua

JAMMU, MAY 4: -The Chief Engineer of Distribution at JPDCL Jammu has announced a scheduled power shutdown affecting several areas on May 5 for essential maintenance work.

Residents in Keeriyan Gandyal, Keerian Industry, and surrounding locations should expect an interruption in power supply from 7 am to 2 pm.

Additionally, a separate outage is scheduled for the same day from 6 am to 11 am affecting Ward Numbers 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, as well as Taraf Sanji, Jarai, Bhagthali, Bhagthali Industry, and PHE Installations. Other areas including Paliwand, Basantpur, RTIC, MES Lakhanpur, and their adjoining vicinities will also experience power cuts during this morning window.

Furthermore, the Superintending Engineer of the JPDCL O&M Circle Kathua has notified the public of another scheduled shutdown on May 6. This outage will impact Baba Sidhgoriya and its nearby areas from 7 am to 12 noon.

The department has advised consumers in these regions to plan accordingly for the temporary disruption. These shutdowns are part of routine technical upgrades and maintenance aimed at ensuring the long-term reliability of the power distribution network across the district.
