Lt Gen Pratik Sharma visits Western Air Command to review joint operational readiness

NEW DELHI, June 23, 2026:- Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command, visited the Headquarters of the Western Air Command and interacted with senior functionaries.

During his visit, the Northern Army Commander called on Air Marshal George Thomas, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Air Command, to review the ongoing collaborative security measures across the northern borders.

The two commanders held extensive discussions focused on enhancing joint operational readiness, strengthening inter-service coordination, and devising long-term strategies for seamless synergy between the Indian Air Force and the Indian Army.

The meeting underscores the military’s continued focus on integrating land and air operations to ensure a swift and well-knit response mechanism during operational exigencies.
