Javid Ahmad Dar meets with legislators to drive grassroots development across Jammu and Kashmir
Srinagar, June 23: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives, and Election Department Javid Ahmad Dar held a meeting with several legislators at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar today to discuss a wide range of developmental and public welfare issues.
Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs, Transport, Science, Technology, Information Technology, Youth Services, Sports, and ARI and Trainings Satish Sharma was also present during the deliberations. The visiting legislators included Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, Hasnain Masoodi, Peerzada Feroze Ahmad Shah, Irshad Rasool Kar, and Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Mir.During the interaction, the legislators briefed the minister on the specific developmental requirements and public grievances within their respective constituencies.
They submitted demands aimed at strengthening rural infrastructure, upgrading public services, enhancing agricultural support frameworks, and accelerating the execution of ongoing welfare initiatives. Javid Ahmad Dar assured the legislators that all the raised concerns would be thoroughly reviewed and forwarded to the respective departments for swift and appropriate action.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to balanced and inclusive growth, the minister emphasized that continuous engagement with elected representatives is vital for addressing public issues and delivering effective governance at the grassroots level.
He noted that the administration remains intensely focused on speeding up development projects, strengthening institutional mechanisms, and ensuring the benefits of government welfare schemes reach all sections of society. He further promised his full support and institutional cooperation to help the legislators realize the developmental aspirations of their constituents.
