Garhwal Rifles Unveils 54 Foot Regimental High Mast Flag At Lansdowne War Memorial
LANSDOWNE, May 15, 2026 — A new 54-foot Regimental High Mast Flag has been installed at the War Memorial of the Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre. The flag was presented by Dinesh Singh Rana, Colonel of the Garhwal Rifles and Garhwal Scouts, at the historic site.
Towering majestically behind the wall of the memorial, the high mast flag enhances the aesthetic and symbolic value of the area, serving as a defining feature of the military landmark.
With the addition of this structure, Lansdowne now features three prominent high mast flags, including the National Flag at Gandhi Chowk, the National Flag at Jhandadhar, and the Regimental Flag at the War Memorial.
Standing as a symbol of regimental honor, the 54-foot flag reflects the courage and valor of the forces.
It serves as a lasting tribute to the sacrifices and the 139-year legacy of the Garhwal Rifles while continuing to inspire visitors with the spirit of service.
