CM Omar Abdullah Approves Multi-Level Car Parking Project Worth 9.60 Crore for Ganderbal
JAMMU, APRIL 25: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has granted administrative approval for a new multi-level car parking facility in Ganderbal, involving an estimated investment of 9.60 crore.
This infrastructure project is designed to tackle the growing traffic congestion and modernize the urban landscape of the rapidly expanding town.
Sanctioned under the Capex Budget for 2026–27, the project will be overseen by the Director of Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir, with a strict mandate to follow technical specifications and codal procedures for efficient and high-quality completion.
The upcoming facility is expected to transform the town’s traffic management by providing an organized space for vehicles, which will significantly decongest the bustling market areas of Ganderbal. Beyond improving public convenience, the initiative reflects a commitment to better urban planning.
Chief Minister Abdullah has underscored the importance of transparency and excellence, directing relevant departments to ensure all regulatory clearances are finalized and competitive tendering processes are followed before construction begins to ensure the project stays on schedule.
