CISF Personnel Complete Basic Disaster Management Training at Amritsar Airport

AMRITSAR, June 6, 2026 — The Central Industrial Security Force unit at Amritsar Airport, in collaboration with the 7th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force from Bathinda, successfully conducted a two-week Basic Disaster Management Training Course.

The joint initiative trained 40 personnel drawn from various security units operating under the Airport Sector North Zone to strengthen emergency handling capabilities at major aviation hubs.The specialized program was delivered by a six-member expert team from the disaster response force, who provided structured training on core aspects of emergency rescue, medical first aid, and crisis management.

The comprehensive curriculum was specifically designed to enhance the operational preparedness and tactical skills of the security personnel, ensuring they can function effectively as first responders during any unforeseen terminal emergencies or natural disasters.

A valedictory ceremony was held at the airport to mark the successful completion of the multi-week security training program.

Senior Commandant and Chief Airport Security Officer Tushar D Sakhare attended the event to review the outcomes of the course and distributed certificates of appreciation to all the participating personnel, recognizing their readiness to handle critical security and rescue operations.
