IGP Kashmir Reviews Security Arrangements for Independence Day Celebrations
SRINAGAR, Aug 10 — Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone VK Birdi chaired a comprehensive security review meeting at Police Control Room Kashmir to assess arrangements for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations and other scheduled events across the valley.Senior officials from the Police, Army, Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, and other security agencies briefed the IGP on deployment plans and precautionary measures.
Special attention was given to the security framework for the main event at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar, with instructions to reinforce security measures and complete preparations ahead of time.
The IGP directed officers to increase night checkpoints, intensify area domination patrolling in vulnerable areas, and maintain strict vigilance against elements posing a threat to public peace.
Participating agencies reiterated their commitment to seamless coordination and robust security protocols to ensure smooth and peaceful celebrations across all districts.
