Reasi Police Arrest Four People and Recover Heroin in Katra
Reasi, August 1, 2026 :- Reasi Police arrested four individuals and recovered narcotics during a night patrol in Katra town as part of an ongoing crackdown against drug trafficking. Officers from Katra Police Station spotted four men acting suspiciously near Yog Ashram during the night of July 31.
The individuals were identified as Vasu Malhotra, Rohit Singh, Sushil Sharma, and Vishal Singh.During a personal search, police recovered approximately 2.7 grams of heroin, commonly known as chitta, along with a polythene pouch from Malhotra and Rohit Singh.
Authorities registered a case under FIR Number 263/2026 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Police Station Katra. An investigation is currently underway to trace the supply source and forward linkages of the seized illegal substance.
