UDHAMPUR, Aug 1: In a significant step towards youth empowerment and nation-building, the Indian Army organized a comprehensive career counselling programme for the students of Yaspaul High School in Mantalai on July 31. The initiative, designed to broaden awareness about future professional pathways, witnessed enthusiastic participation from 160 boys and girls alongside six teachers. During the highly interactive session, Army representatives provided vital guidance on educational qualifications, competitive examinations, and strategic career planning. Special emphasis was placed on exploring opportunities within the Defence Forces, government services, professional courses, and higher education.

The engaging dialogue encouraged students to ask targeted questions regarding career options and the necessary pathways to achieve their professional goals. In response, officials motivated the youth to identify their core strengths, maintain a sharp focus on academic excellence, and systematically prepare for future challenges while highlighting the importance of discipline and informed decision-making. The school’s faculty deeply appreciated the Indian Army’s initiative to mentor young minds through meaningful educational engagement. This programme not only reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to nurturing a confident, skilled, and responsible future generation but also further strengthened the bond between the armed forces and the local civilian population.
