Indian Army Hosts Awareness Drive on Government Welfare Schemes in Lassana, Rajouri
Rajouri, Aug 1: Demonstrating its continued commitment to the welfare and development of local communities, the Indian Army organised an awareness drive on various Government welfare schemes at Lassana in Rajouri district. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from 20 local residents, including village elders and youth. During the session, Army representatives briefed participants on the objectives, benefits, and eligibility criteria of several Government initiatives related to education, healthcare, financial inclusion, employment generation, social welfare, and rural development.
Attendees were encouraged to take advantage of these welfare initiatives and seek assistance from concerned Government departments to improve their quality of life. The interactive session also provided an opportunity for residents to raise queries and clarify doubts regarding scheme implementation and accessibility. Reaffirming its commitment to supporting the local population, the Indian Army emphasized its role in facilitating coordination between civil administration and the community to promote inclusive development and strengthen mutual trust across the region.
