KOLKATA, AUGUST 01, 2026 — Marking a major step forward in strengthening military psychological healthcare, Command Hospital (Eastern Command), Kolkata, organized an Inter-Command Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) 2026 programme focused on “Mental Health First Aid for the Armed Forces” on August 01, 2026. The landmark event was inaugurated by Major General Debashish Mukherjee, Commandant of Command Hospital (Eastern Command), and highlighted the continuous drive to empower Military Nursing Service (MNS) professionals with cutting-edge psychological care capabilities.
A key highlight of the event was the launch of the Tele-MANAS facility in hybrid mode, designed to provide accessible digital mental health assistance across military formations. Additionally, the initiative featured the unveiling of a dedicated Digital Psychological First Aid Library, the inauguration of an interactive Research Gallery showcasing clinical advancements, and the official release of the Psychological First Aid Manual.
