Samba Police Arrest Notorious Criminal with Illegal Revolver in Major Bari Brahmana Patrol Operation
BARI BRAHMANA AUGUST 01, 2026 — In a major breakthrough against illegal arms trade and criminal activity, the Samba Police successfully apprehended a suspect and confiscated an illegal revolver during a routine patrolling operation within the jurisdiction of the Bari Brahmana Police Station. The proactive arrest took place when an alert police patrolling unit spotted a suspicious individual traveling from the Data Talab side toward Kikri Morh near JDA Colony Birpur; upon noticing the approaching officers, the suspect attempted to evade capture, but the police party acted swiftly, chasing him down and intercepting him before he could escape.
Upon conducting a thorough personal search, officers discovered a black revolver concealed on his person for which he failed to present any valid license or legal authorization. The arrested individual has been identified as Munna Singh, son of Sandeep Singh, a native of Sohal in the Akhnoor district of Jammu who is currently residing at Teli Basti in Bari Brahmana, Samba. Following his immediate arrest and the formal seizure of the unregistered firearm, law enforcement officials registered Case FIR No. 232/2026 under Section 3/25 of the Arms Act at Police Station Bari Brahmana, officially initiating a comprehensive investigation to trace the origin of the illegal weapon and determine if the accused was involved in prior criminal networks or planned unlawful acts in the region.
