Operation Rahat: J&K Ex-Servicemen League donates dry ration to flood-affected families in Udhampur
Udhampur 8 September:- As part of “Operation Rahat” launched by Lt Gen RK Sharma AVSM SM, State President Jammu and Kashmir Ex-Services League, Jammu & Kashmir Ex-Servicemen League (J&KESL) today donated 100 packets of dry ration to the Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur for distribution among the flood-affected families of the district.

Vice President of J&KESL Naik Dalbir Singh Bhatyal was also present at the donation ceremony. Each packet contains 10 kg rice, 1 kg sugar, 1 kg salt and 1 kg mixed pulses, aimed at providing essential food to the affected families.Speaking on the occasion, Naik Dalbir Singh Bhatyal said, “We, being ex-servicemen, consider it our duty to help our fellow citizens in times of need. We are thankful to the Deputy Commissioner for accepting our donation and ensuring that it reaches the most vulnerable families.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of J&KESL and said that this donation will play a vital role in the relief operations in the district. He further added, “We are thankful to J&KESL for their generosity and support. Dry ration packets will be distributed to the affected families in the coming days.
This donation is a testimony to J&KESL’s spirit of community service and solidarity. The organisation aims to provide relief and aid to the people affected by the recent cloudburst, landslides and heavy rainfall in Udhampur. Under the guidance of Lt Gen RK Sharma AVSM SM, all District and Tehsil Presidents of J&KESL were directed to do needful help to the people affected by the disaster.

Your selfless service and kindness will go a long way in helping the affected families rebuild their lives.Subedar Major Karnail Singh, Yashpal, Rajinder Kumar, Sham Singh, Yuvraj Singh Katoch, Capt Ramesh Singh Sumberiya, Vir Singh, Sudheer Kumar, Mohd and others were present at the ceremony.
