Social Activist and President of Sarv Shakti Sena, Rajan Gupta, Demands Statehood for Jammu amid Disturbing incident at Hazratbal Shrine

Jammu: Renowned social activist and President of Sarv Shakti Sena, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajan Gupta has strongly condemned the recent incident that took place at the Hazratbal Shrine on Friday, where anti-national elements reportedly broke the Ashoka Emblem and attempted to erase the name of Jammu from signage and symbols.

Speaking to the media, Rajan Gupta expressed deep concern over what he described as a deliberate and provocative attempt to undermine the integrity of the Union Territory and the identity of Jammu. He questioned the silence of the central government and demanded immediate restoration of full statehood to Jammu, asserting that Jammu should not suffer due to political disturbances and separatist agendas in other regions.”If there is a clear move to separate Jammu and Kashmir—then Jammu must be granted full statehood without further delay,” said Gupta.

He also alleged that Kashmir-based political parties, namely the National Conference (NC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP), were indirectly supporting such divisive elements by not openly condemning the incident and instead maintaining silence.”This is not just an attack on symbols of the state, but an attack on the unity and sovereignty of the nation,” Gupta added, urging the Centre to take strict action against those involved and safeguard the identity and rights of the Jammu region.

Rajan Gupta concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the cause of Jammu and stated that Sarv Shakti Sena would continue to fight for justice, peace, and dignity for the people of the region.
