Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan Takes Charge as Flag Officer Commanding in Chief of Western Naval Command

MUMBAI, May 30 — Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan officially assumed charge as the Flag Officer Commanding in Chief of the Western Naval Command from Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan during a ceremonial parade held in Mumbai today.

Prior to taking over this prestigious command, the senior officer served as the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff at the Naval Headquarters in New Delhi.

Upon assuming his new role, Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan visited the Gaurav Stambh at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai to pay solemn homage to the bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in service to the nation.
