Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary Orders Speedy Completion of Bagh-e-Bahu Dak Bungalow During Office Inspection

JAMMU, May 30 — Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary reviewed the progress of several ongoing development works in Jammu and conducted a surprise inspection of key government offices to assess workspace efficiency, public accountability, and project implementation.

During his field visit to Bagh-e-Bahu, the deputy chief minister closely inspected the ongoing construction of the Dak Bungalow to review both the pace and the overall quality of the work being executed at the site.

Stressing the importance of timely completion, he directed the concerned officials to expedite execution while strictly adhering to the prescribed quality standards so that the facility can be completed within the stipulated timeframe and serve visitors effectively.

The developmental review also included unexpected inspections at the offices of the Chief Engineer of PMGSY Jammu and the Chief Engineer of the Mechanical and Hospital Engineering Department Jammu. During these surprise office visits, the deputy chief minister personally reviewed staff attendance records, evaluated daily office operations, and took stock of the current status of various ongoing infrastructure projects being handled by the departments.

Emphasizing the urgent need for absolute transparency, accountability, and efficiency in public service delivery, he directed all officers and administrative staff to maintain strict punctuality.

He reiterated that quality infrastructure and efficient governance remain top priorities for the administration, warning that any unnecessary delays in project execution would be viewed seriously. Chief Engineer PMGSY, R&B, along with other senior department officers, accompanied the deputy chief minister throughout the inspection tour.
