Assam Rifles recovers weapons and war-like stores in Op Saikumphai

VIISHILLONG, May 10, 2026:- Assam Rifles, operating under the Spear Corps, successfully recovered a significant cache of weapons and war-like stores during the execution of Operation Saikumphai-VII.

The operation led to the discovery of high-grade military equipment, including 60 mm mortar tubes, hand grenades, and mortar rounds. The recovery highlights the ongoing efforts of security forces to maintain stability and safety in the region through proactive intelligence and field operations.

In addition to the explosives and heavy weaponry, the security forces seized anti-personnel mines and various radio sets used for communication. Following the successful recovery, all confiscated items were documented and handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings.
