KPDCL announces power shutdown in Srinagar and other Kashmir districts

SRINAGAR, JULY 01 — Chief Engineer Distribution KPDCL has informed that power supply will remain affected in several parts of Kashmir due to scheduled maintenance shutdowns of various 33 kV lines. The power supply to Upper Soura, 90 feet, Nowshera, Bohlachpora, Handwara Town, Chogal, Kulangam, Sagipora, Marathgam, Whole Lolab, Machil valley, Trehgam, Hayan, Zurhama, Hyhama, Gushie, Deedikoot, Qaimoh, Khudwani, Redwani, Matalhama, Arizal, Reyar, Doodpathri, Hajin, Hakbara, Safapora, Shahgund, Boniyar, Sodnara, and Chandergir will face disruptions from 8 AM to 2 PM on July 2.Similarly, areas including Kralpora, Gazriyal, Chowkibal, Shumnag Valley, Keran Valley, and Kalmoona will see shutdowns on July 3.

On July 4, electricity supply will be affected in Habak, Hazartabal, Mallabagh, Zachaldara, Rajwar, Hangah, Haril, Lach, Sail, Gondipora, old Beerwah, Arwa, Najan, Chewdara, Beerwah town, Sonpah, Hospital Zanigam, Khag, and Qaimoh areas from 8 AM to 2 PM.Furthermore, power cuts are scheduled for Habak, Hazratbal, and Mallabagh on July 5, while Tangdar, Gabra, Taad, Kandi, MES Chiterkoot, and Teetwal will face outages on July 6 and July 9.

On July 7, the shutdown will impact Sangam, Shanglipora, Whole Lolab, Machil Valley, Mazhama, Old Sanoor, Aripanthan, Magam, Weriahama, and Burden. Finally, scheduled shutdowns will affect the Badampora Army Madhwan Line on July 8, and the Keran Valley on July 9 and July 11 between 8 AM and 2 PM.
