Indian Navy Eastern Fleet Ships Conclude Thailand Visit With Royal Thai Navy PASSEX

SATTAHIP, THAILAND July 01, 2026 — Following a successful port visit to Sattahip, Thailand, the Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet ships—including the guided-missile frigate INS Udaygiri, the fleet tanker INS Shakti, and the anti-submarine warfare corvette INS Kavaratti—conducted a maritime Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with the Royal Thai Navy’s HTMS Chao Phraya.

The collaborative naval exercise provided an invaluable opportunity to enhance interoperability and tactical coordination between the two maritime forces. By executing synchronized maneuvers and communication drills at sea, both nations effectively reaffirmed their shared commitment to maintaining robust maritime security and ensuring long-term stability across the critical sea lanes of the region.
