India and Armenia discuss military cooperation and defense modernization

NEW DELHI, April 28, 2026 — Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh held a productive bilateral meeting with the Chief of General Staff of Armenia, Edvard Asryan, in the capital yesterday to discuss the future of security ties between the two nations.

The high-level talks focused on expanding military cooperation with a specific emphasis on professional training programs, capability development, and the modernization of armed forces. Both leaders explored avenues to deepen the strategic partnership through shared expertise and technical exchange.
