General Upendra Dwivedi Inducted into US Army War College International Hall of Fame During Official Visit
CARLISLE, April 24, 2026:-General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), has been inducted into the prestigious International Hall of Fame at the United States Army War College (USAWC) at Carlisle Barracks.
This significant recognition makes him only the third Indian Army Chief to receive the honor, following in the footsteps of General V K Singh and General Bikram Singh.
An alumnus of the institution and a USAWC Distinguished Fellow, General Dwivedi addressed the faculty and international student officers, sharing insights on leadership, the importance of professional military education, and the complexities of evolving global security dynamics.
During his visit, the COAS toured key campus facilities and participated in high-level academic engagements, which included reviewing advanced research projects and engaging in panel discussions with distinguished scholars and members of the institution.
