Srinagar Police Distribute Educational Supplies to Underprivileged Students Under Civic Action Programme

SRINAGAR, April 23, 2026 — Srinagar Police, in partnership with the J&K Human Touch India Foundation, organized a community outreach event at District Police Lines Srinagar to provide school bags and stationery to children from economically weaker sections.

The distribution drive, conducted under the Civic Action Programme 2025–26, was led by SSP Srinagar Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, who personally handed out the educational supplies to the young beneficiaries.

The ceremony was attended by senior officials including SP Headquarters Shah Umer, DySP Headquarters Syed Sleet Shah, and DySP DAR Nazir Ahmad, alongside Kurat Zargar, the Chairperson of the collaborating NGO.

The initiative was designed to support the educational needs of underprivileged students while fostering a stronger relationship of trust and engagement between the police force and the local community.

Beyond the distribution of essential school items, refreshments were provided to the children and attendees, creating a supportive and welcoming environment.

This program underscores the ongoing commitment of the Srinagar Police to social welfare and public service, highlighting their efforts to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the citizens they serve through meaningful grassroots engagement.
