Punjab Police Golf Team Wins Championship at All India Police Golf Tournament
CHANDIGARH, March 20, 2026:- The Punjab Police golf team achieved a major victory by emerging as the overall champions at the 29th All India Police Golf Tournament.
The competition took place at the Chandigarh Golf Club from March 17 to 19 and featured elite teams from various organizations, including the Border Security Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, National Security Guard, Central Reserve Police Force, and Intelligence Bureau, as well as police forces from across the country.
The winning team consisted of DIG Rupinder Singh and SSP Gaurav Toora, who demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and teamwork to secure the top spot. Individual accolades further highlighted the department’s success, with IGP Rajpal Singh winning the longest drive prize.
In the women’s category, Special DGP Gurpreet Deo delivered a standout performance to secure the runner-up position.These achievements reflect the discipline and sportsmanship of the officers involved.
The department extended congratulations to all the winners, noting that their dedication brings pride to the Punjab Police and serves as an inspiration for excellence in both service and leadership.
