CRPF Director General Reviews Election Preparedness and Troop Welfare in West Bengal

Kolaghat, April 17, 2026:-Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force G. P. Singh visited the D/132 battalion stationed at Kolaghat Government Polytechnic College in Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, to oversee security arrangements for the ongoing election duty.

During the visit, the Director General conducted a comprehensive review of the facilities provided to the troops and evaluated the operational readiness of the personnel on the ground.

He held a detailed briefing session with the Adhoc 377 and 323 battalions, where he emphasized the critical importance of maintaining a neutral and secure environment to ensure free, fair, and transparent polling in strict accordance with the mandates set by the Election Commission of India.

The visit was marked by an emphasis on leadership and discipline as the force prepares for the upcoming electoral phases in the state.

Following the formal briefing, the Director General spent time in personal interaction with the jawans to address their concerns and boost morale.

This engagement served to strengthen the connection between the leadership and the front-line personnel, highlighting the commitment of the force to both its professional duties and the welfare of its members during high-pressure deployments.
